Many people may think homosexual is wrong and immoral. From my point of view, gays and lesbians are merely in search of their own happiness, just like you and me. They do not harm the society.

They are not criminals, they have their rights to choose the partner with whom they are going to get along with, including having sex.

There are many unknown reasons causing these group of people to turn into gays or lesbians. We are not them, and we have no right to stop them.

Rationally, how would a person want to be homosexual in the first place? If a gay is totally not interested in a girl or had trauma with a gal before, how will he want to spend his future with a gal? Do we have to force him to be together with a girl? That will be unreasonable to do so. Like feeding him poison alive.

A person only become homosexual because there is a need for them to do so, an invidual need that they deserve.

We may disagree with them because we do not like it. But, we should respect their decision, we should not stop them by all means.

Thanks

I agree with Hendri and also the statement, "Homosexualism is a human right."

I think that we should respect their decisions. However, in Singapore, marriage and sex between homosexuals are not allowed. I think that by doing so, Singapore is violating ther rights.

In addition, I think that they arent to blame when they prefer people from the same sex. Usually, they think that people from the same sex are more attractive as compared to the opposit sex. When this happens, we cannot force them to accept the opposite sex.

Therefore, I think that homosexualism is a humam right and it should be legallised as long as they are responsible for their own actions.

I agree that homosexualism is a human right.

Being homoesexual is not a crime. They have their own right to choose who they want to spend their life with.

The society should not shun them but instead learn to accept their differences. Like what Hendri said, these people may have bad past experiences with the opposite sex and thus feel that the opposite sex are not trustworthy.

This is their own choice and we have no right to change them.

I agree with the statement.

People need to come out to express their views on such matters as homosexuality.
To be prevented from doing so is to deny them their rights.
If the society is denying their rights, it will be forcing them to change their lifestyle.
If we do not want them to force us to accept their lifestyle, what rights do we have to force them?

Some people say that having homosexuals in the society will lead to a decrease in population growth because these people don't contribute to the birth rate.
But let us make this clear though. These people are a minority in the society and they would not upset the population growth.

Everyone has different moral standards.
We cannot expect everyone else to be like us.
Let us be tolerant of others who differ from us.

Therefore, a homosexual should not have less deserving of rights than normal people simply because he has a different sexual orientation.

I agree with the statement. Homosexualism is hard to control or stop and we shall accept the reality of it. Perhaps some people will think that homosexual is a very disgraceful acts and abnormal. However, some of them have no choice as they are born to be like that. No matter how we laugh and say badly about them, they are still a human after all. We shall try to stand in their position and think of their feeling. We have to change our perception that homosexualism is normal and perfectly nature. If homosexuals are deemed as unacceptable, it is from a society's point of view, a cultural dislike which has little basis in the truth of nature.

I agree with hendri that we cannot simply force them to like the opposite sex if they do not want. It will create a negative impact to them instead. They may have the idea to commit suicide if we keep look down on them. This will make the matters worst so we have to try to make them as sense of belonging to us. Recently, MM Lee stance regarding homosexualism is that since Singapore is a multi-racial nation, the gathering point of many people from all over the world of different cultures and traditions. Singapore could accept homosexuality. He mentioned that it need time before legalising of homosexualism will take place. We do not want legalisation of "gaydom" to eventually result in civil "war" like in the States, with all the hate crimes and stuffs. After all, an Asian country needs time to adept to a "new" concept.

To conclude, I think that we have to give respect and the same rights to homosexualism to be fair to them.

In my opinion, homosexual is not wrong and that we should give them the freedom to choose who they want to be with.

Its their own happiness and freedom and we do not have a right to stop them. So what if they are gays and lesbians?

I think that our society should not shun them althought they are not attracted to someone of an opposite sex. We speak of freedom, rights, privacy but why cant we accept homosexual around us?

Who would want to be a homosexual in the first place? We do not know the story behind them therefore we do not have the right to judge them. Who knows, maybe they are force by circumstances or by their childhood?

In conclusion, i think that we should not judge homosexual just because we think that its is not normal or it is defying nature but we should accept them and respect their decision with whoever they want to be with.

What's wrong with homosexuals?
I don't see any big problems regarding homosexuals. At most if you know a person who is homosexual, you will be shocked. Then the next thing you should is get used to it, accept it. That's what most Singaporeans should do. They will not bring any great harm to the country.

There's a Chinese proverb that says " one kind of rice feed hundreds different kind of people". You can't expect the homosexuals to have the same thoughts. Everybody has their own different desires. You can't explain why they are in this state and so since we don't really understand tamper with it before we create a huge trouble.

If a homosexual shows interest towards you and you are not interested, just kindly tell that you are not his or her type.

Homosexuals. Otherwise stated gays or lesbians. Who are they? Why do people discriminate them? Homosexuals are also human. And I feel that they should also enjoy equal human rights as we do. We can marry anyone we love, therefore they should be allowed to get married too. We can have sex with our life-long partner, they should also enjoy this privilege. It's a way of showing how much they love each other. If they choose they want to be homosexual(or whether it's "in the genes"), we should let them have the freedom to do what they want. It's human right.

Personally, i think that homosexualism is a human right. Nobody should be left out of the society just because he or she is homosexual. Everyone has the freedom of choice and the society shouldn't discriminate these gays and lesbians just because they have different views and thinking from the majority population.

On the other hand, we should try to accept them and try to treat them as how we would treat normal individuals.

Hopefully in the future, Singapore would also be able to accept these people and allow marriages between the same sexs.

I agree with the statement.

Different people have different thought, interest and need. How can we blame others just because we like eating rice but they like eating noodles. I think they should have their own choice to have sex with who just like you can choose chicken rice or cooked food. It's one of the human right.

I agree! Homosexualism is a human right. They can get the right.

Homosexual are also people. They have rights to choose their lives. We should respect their choice. But a lot of countries do not allow this. Some governments even punish them by law.

They do not love isomerism is not wrong, it is just what they choice just like most of people will not choose the people of the same sex. People should stand on their positions to think about them.
