I agree that men and women will never be equal. In general, men is physically bigger and stronger than woman. There may be exceptions where women go to the gym and build their body, but this will only come as one-in-a-hundred-chance. From physiological structure, we have already seen superiority in men.
Nowadays, women starts working independently and earn more than they did in the past. However, men still remain as the breadwinner in a family. Women earns extra money for their personal spending on fashion, beauty and savings. Men earn money to support the whole family. In fact, most men still earn much more than woman and men tend to secure higher positions in the workplace.
It is also the truth that women is created by God to give birth. Can you imagine if guys were to give birth? It is against nature and will never occur. Even though I agree that women have their full human rights, they are still bound to the "mother-nature" and more towards child nurturing, hence men stands forth.
Moreover, I will argue that men will always be the one protecting women and not the other way round. Thus, I complete my statement saying that inequality remains.
I agree the statement. Men and women are born differently. There are some things that one party can do while the other cannot. There are still people who see women as the fragile figures. Some people still see men as people who should be tough and not worry about raising kids, but just provide money and food for the family.
One main reason is religion and its enduring importance to society. Most religions advocate that a woman's role is one of subservience to her husband. Religion therefore clearly states the role of both genders, that the men are leaders and breadwinners and that the women are supporters and mothers
Both men and women are able to work with just a computer whilst being involved in domestic responsibilities at home. This would translate to more job and promotion opportunities for females, and males are expected to contribute more to the paternal nurturing of their children. Along with technology, also come birth control, contraceptives and the legalisation of abortion, all of which threaten to undercut the traditional role of women as mothers by giving them a choice.
Therefore, the role between men and women make equality impossible.
I agree that there can never be equality between man and woman. It is impossible. Woman in our modern days are becoming more and more independent and are also doing their part in contributing to the family income. However there can never be equality between the both sexes.
Man are more physically built thats why we have muscle weights in gym. We,woman cannpt compare with them.
On the other hand, woman mature earlier and we have the task of giving birth and carry on the human race. We cant expect man to get pregnant with a tummy walking around for 9 months.
Take an example, father and mother have different ways in bringing up their child. The dad will always allow the child to explore and only guild the child and help them out when he/she is in trouble. Mothers takes a different approach towards their child and is always seen protecting them and not allow the child to wander away from her. From here we can see that man and woman have different ways of doing things and are build differently so there can never be a days where man and woman are equal.
Men and women are already different right from the time when they were brought to this world. Although the society is now moving towards a more unisex culture, such as more women dressing themselves as men, one thing is not going to change. Men will still be the breadwinner of the family. I agree with Hendri that although women are more independent now in terms of work, they earn money for their personal spending, while men earn money to support the family. I don’t think that such a culture is going to change.
I also feel the male is always the more protective sex and the female being protected. In a family, both the father and mother will do everything to give the best to their children. But then, from a traditional point of view, it is the main duty of the father to protect the family, isn’t it? The main duty of a mother is to take care of the children in terms of education and well-being, while that of a father is to work hard and ensure financial stability in the family.
From my above opinions, equality between men and women will never exist.
Like what hendri says, men are physically bigger and stronger than woman. It is uncommon to see women with strong body build. However, this does not mean that women cannot be stronger than men in other areas.
Nowadays, women are given more chance to perform in their career. From news, we can see more and more women becoming successful leaders in the companies. This shows that women can also be as successful as men in terms of work.
Since women can be successful in their career, I believe woman can be the breadwinner in the family. I do not agree with Hendri saying that women earn extra money for the sake of beauty, fashion and saving. It is true that part of the money women earn is spent on personal stuff. However, i do not believe men do not spend money on personal stuff. Does it mean that they do not buy clothing and wear nothing to work? In terms of family, men and women should be of equal status. It does not mean that if men is the breadwinner, men are of a higher status. It is obvious that if someone supports the family by working, there should be another person who is in charge of household chores. If the couple decides to do work and be involved in household chores, there is nothing wrong.
In terms of carrying down the family line, woman is a very important role because women are the one that can get pregnant and give birth. Therefore this is the role that men can never take over.
In conclusion, there will never be equality between men and women in some aspects. The area in which men are more superior in will be able to cover the weakness of the opposite gender and vice versa. This is how the world works to strike a balance.
I agree too that equality does not reflects on men and women to a certain extent. Most people will say that women are not as lucky as men. Is this true?
Men are born with a much bigger build than women. So men are more suitable for labour kind of jobs while women are mostly suited to working in an office. There are some jobs that men can do, women wish to do it but they can't. Like jobs which requires more physical. This includes working in the army, navy, etc. Most women are not very suitable to such jobs is due to the hormones that everyone has in their body. For eg. those who has a slightly higher percentage of male hormones in them, maybe able to takecare more physical activities related work. Whereas those who has lesser male hormones percentage and very high female hormones percentage, more likely they will not be able to withstand too strenious activities.
Furthermore, women has to go through a period of pain while giving birth to their children, while the men need not really experience this. Many have found it unfair.
However, I feel that whether is it unfair to men or women, everyone plays a part in the society. Everyone has their own problems.
Therefore I conclude that there will still be inequality between the sexes.
Judging by today's society, I can safely say that this statement has been denied.
Nowadays, people talked and embrace greatly the mindset of equality between genders. There is no longer the ancient thinking that women should or must be purely the ignorant or lower class people. Most women nowadays are highly educated, and seeing them obtaining PhD (Doctorate Degree) is now a common sight. More and more women are now taking on leadership roles in the family, companies, corporations, organizations, and even nations.
People no longer have the view that women cannot lead or they are lacking in knowledge. Women are now seem as common people, having the same rights and should be given the same opportunities to advance in their careers. There is also no longer sight of discrimination in companies, as employers are now promoting more and more women to the senior leadership roles, which justifies my stand that women are given equal opportunities to advance in their career.
I disagree. There is always the possibility of equality between men and women. Women are now working harder and may prove to be better than men in many aspects in the future. If men can be seen as being superior over women, surely the latter would be able to climb up and be on par with the former.
Women have become more independent as they rely less on men nowadays. They have gone out into the working world instead of lounging in their cozy homes, waiting for men to bring in the cash. Some may feel that it is boring to stay at home doing nothing when they can be out earning money.
We are now in a new generation where females are not looked down on at work or at home, compared to the past where women were only regarded as ‘baby-making machines’, existed to take care of their children and manage the house chores. Furthermore, there are some households which paint the image of the women making the decisions while men have no say at all.
Men was thought to be more competent than women and they hold the higher positions in the workforce.
However, presently, we do see an overwhelming number of females in the workforce and a lot of them have risen to higher positions than men. Women are no longer being looked down by men, yet are given the same respect and rights.
Also, with the army allowing females to join, it shows that they recognise the fact that females can also be strong enough to protect the country. Thus, women are not seen as weak as before.
In the past, men are considered more superior compared to women, who are given the work of staying at home, giving birth, taking care of the kids and doing household chores.
In modern days, men are starting to learn to do household chores and we have a lot of them cooking for their family.
The world is fast-changing where men and women can complete the same tasks equally well. Discriminations of women are dying. Thus, I believe that there will be equality between men and women, and we are fast approaching that.
Statistics have suggested that men still enjoy the best of both worlds despite decades of female campaigning. Men still have higher incomes, outnumber women in management and many professional occupations and do less than a quarter of the cooking and domestic chores. Do we still live in a men's world? Many conclude that inequality exists due to difference in physique. It is a fact that man are stronger, but isn't it also a fact that woman are more meticulous and conscientious. Women can't cope with strenuous work but they excel in sewing, handicraft. Gender equality means men and women having the same rights and the same opportunities in society. Singapore’s Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong once said “To get people to acquire their knowledge and do their best, no one should be discriminated against on the basis of race, gender or religion,” Singapore's system of meritocracy ensures that a person's advancement is based on ability, perfomance and contribution. Is it really impossible to achieve equality between sexes? To me, instead of insisting on equal rights, why not emphasise co-existence.
I agree that men and women are not equal. In the first place, men and women are already physically different. how is that possible to make them equals? Men are physically stronger as men has testosterone which makes them "manly".
Men and Women are also built differently. According to studies, women tends to be more compassionate and more cooperative. Women are more in touched with their feelings while men are not. Males also tend to be more aggressive. A simple comparison made clearly shows that men and women are not equal.
As males are physically stronger, males are always doing the work that is required more strength and stamina just like construction sites and transporting of goods. Also, National Service(NS) is compulsory for all males but is it for the females. The answer is no, with this point already shows that males and females will not be equal. If males and females are equal, why we cannot find any male participants playing with female participants in major tournaments or contests such as Olympics. You always will see the only males or only females will be running for 100m, you will never see mixed genders running for the same race. What is the reason? It is unfair to the females participants. This supports the point of males and females will not be equal.
Just like some jobs are suitable for that gender, such as nurse for females and pilot for males. Although there is exception in each case, but you will never see the equal number of males and females in each jobs. Last time, males are more “superior” than females but now the situation has changed, females are more “superior” than males. In the past, due to the old belief that females should not be studying and should stay at home and take care of housework, that makes males are more “superior” than females. But, nowadays both males and females take up the same education, that makes females are able to compete with the males. In some company, female employees are more wanted than the males although they have the same education.
With all this points, I agree with the statement, "There will never be equality between men and women."
I disagree to the statement above.Equality between sexes i spossible if we as humans werent so simple minded.I know of familes where the wives are the breadwinners and the husbands are the house husbands.Just because you are a man doesnt mean ur roles in society always has to be associated with only a certain group, likewise for women. And just because you are a woman doesnt mean you cant do certain things. It all depends if u are willing to do it.One exapmle a woman be a soldier who fights in a war.It wont be any different just because she is a woman.

I agree that men and women will never be equal. Firstly is the physical differences between them. Men have always been stronger than women in nature, not taking into account the trainings such as gyms that they have undergone. Secondly, the several different roles played by men and women, such as men being the breadwinner and women being the housewives, have all along been passed down through centuries of civilisation and it will continue to remain that way. Although the society is becoming more open on the roles played by men and women, these respective roles will never change because they are in the nature of the two genders. Another example would be the giving birth of child given by hendri. Women will always have the motherly nature in them thus their roles will remain as child raising and nurturing. Therefore, there will never be equality among the two genders.
i agree that man and women can never be equal. the most obvious reason is the physical builds of the two sexes, man are born stronger than woman.
secondly, although women can be independent nowadays, there are always circumstances that certain jobs like moving things are done mostly by man. men are often looked up as the breadwinner of the house and the woman as the housewife.
in my opinion, man and woman are born to have their own different responsibilities in the world, thus there wont be true equality between man and women.
if not, why would humans even be separated with 'man' and 'woman'
Men and women will never be equal. Both physically and mentally. And also, the roles of men and women are different. At birth, male babies are more attracted to toys or objects while female babies repond to voices more readily. This shows that at point of birth males and females are meant to be different. As adults, the fields women excel in are different from men. Therefore we can't compare and say which gender is better but both genders will never be equal.
I certainly agree.’ There will never be equality between men and women’.
As mentioned by the majority, physically men and women are differently build-up, where men are physically stronger than the women. Hence, there is an inequality in recruitments for certain industries. For instance, the marine engineering industries are more targeting on men as it required heavy loading of materials, resilient character in controlling man-power onboard ship and other criteria required. It is evident that majority of the companies will recruit men instead of women.
Similarly, women are much mentally sensitive as compared to the men. Hence, in sales line, we are able to find majority of the sales person are women. This is especially visibility in the cosmetics and facing-products industries. As women are more aware of people’s need and often produce necessary opinion to customer. Inequality, there is higher chance in employing female sales staff than male.
In conclusion, men and women are borne to play different roles so that they could dovetail and creates a unity in this world. Hence, there will never be equality in between. Indeed, it is evident in the above mentioned-careers choice.
I agree that there will never be equality between men and women.
